All schools and institutions that conduct theatre or cultural activities — as well as individual participants interested in theatre — are eligible to participate.

Children’s Play (बालनाट्य) is a group performance, so one team can present one play.
Mono Acting (एकपात्री), Junior Radio Jockey (Junior RJ), and Storytelling (कथाकथन) are individual performance categories, so multiple participants from the same institution can take part individually.
The best children’s plays from each district round are evaluated by the judges, and the top-performing plays are shortlisted and selected for the grand final round.
